I've been talking about doing this one for a long time since Dark Souls is absolutely my favorite game ever. Nothing about arranging orchestrated pieces into metal is fun, nor will it ever be. However, I'm pretty fucking stoked about the final product here. The little spoken word thing was literally added as a last minute thing before exporting, but MAN am I glad I thought to do that. It instantly builds the tension so much greater IMO.
Still improving my mixes incrementally, luckily I've been fortunate enough to find some streams of the new BTBAM album for reference. dat production tho. Also I moved again. For the fifth time this year. Yeah.

This boss fight was so powerful for me. Smough and Ornstein compliment eachother greatly, and once one of them dies, the other knows exactly what to do. It seems to be a great duo of a boss battle that I won't soon forget.

I just fought them in light gear with a black knight weapon so I could quick roll. Kill Ornstein first bc his mega form is way harder to dodge. If you do kill Smough first tho, stick close to Ornstein. Most his attacks go over your head if your close to his legs, so just watch out for the windup on his lightning area of effect attack
