Composite bow is so fun, I LOOOOOVE trading with people with that thing and just completely surprising them by coming out on top. Also really fun against turtlers when using something like Chaos or Occult, I love that you can basically animation cancel with the thing by just rolling out of your shots

I totally agree, our favorite weapons are always subject to change! I for one am floating between a few: The large club, moonlight greatsword, zweihander, obsidian greatsword, balder SWAG sword, and silver knight straight sword (I haven't had the chance to try the spear yet).

its the only dexterity based axe, and shares the typical stunlocking/poise breaking of the other axe weapons, only 5 weight, gives resistance bonuses, and had pretty damn good reach...and it looks so great on fire!!!!

I absolutely love how you stunlock these guys with the mace and then circle for the backstab. its a powerful strategy, most ppl get greedy and wanna finish the opponent off as soon as they see him gettin stunlocked after a single hit. observe and be patient - it always pays off in DS.

you have a really good point. i don't use quality builds very often so wouldn't really know about the extra damage and i will admit this though, you get better counters more often with the warpick than you do with the pickaxe.

the reason they have a hard time parrying it is because the slow windup throws off the parry, similar to the R2/RT with the mace. i have tried the pickaxe but i prefer the warpick. for the quality build i am almost always on the warpick does slightly more damage, and its horizontal R2 hits more often than the pickaxes vertical R2 from my experience.

The problem with the Darkmoon Bow is the split damage, poor scaling, bad damage, etc. The Dragonslayer Spear is so popular because it has good faith and Dex scaling, and you already have semi-high strength because of the requirements, and at that point the Comp Bow's scaling and lack of split damage just makes it superior in just about every way possible. The Comp Bow just beats it out, and most people prefer bringing pyromancy or a crossbow over bows anyways.

Anyone who makes a Dragonslayer Spear user might as well also use the Darkmoon Bow. Darkmoon arrows are just the same price as Dragonslayer Arrows. I honestly like it as much as the Dragonslayer Great Bow.

You don't see it very often, its got great reach, great power and has a respectable move set so long as you know how to apply it.

yes I know I also love it and use it alot in my dex oriented quality build, but it is a MAJOR underated weapon, a shame since it gives dex builds a weapon with great stunlock

As for bows, I tend to favor the Short Bow, simply because of the .5 weight. my favorite weapon, overall, is probably the Large club... I don't pvp often but when I do, Nobody can withstand my dead-angling with it's strong attacks. Except for hackers that I encounter, at least. Full havel's guys were fine with the poise but the poison effect has saved my life more than a few times. Just to note, I ONLY pvp in the forest- hosting, or being a Forestbro

I'm not sure as I just started PVP, but I use Bleed on my SL60 Darkwraith that I take to endgame areas, it seems the only thing you need is end and vit and you can take on a much higher SL with bleed on an elemental weapon. I think elementals start6 falling behind in damage at like SL40 (?) which probably means their sum of offensive and defensive power will catch up at like 60? Just guessing for my first build lol, can't find the answers

Bleed damage is a percentage of the enemy's health, so it doesn't matter the sl, a 30% will always be a 30%. The only thing that can change are the defenses, which can make really hard to bleed someone. Also, against a good player, spamming to bleed will hardly work and will be probably punished.

Yeah bursting them down is easier said than done haha, still I feel the disadvantage isn't nearly as bad as I thought just relying on vit, end and elementals :D I think this class gives some of the most bang for it's buck when it comes to keeping level low but power high

The tail axe sucks! It's slower and weaker than the battle axe.

it isnt slower, it is longer, they deal roughly the same damage and it gives a decent resistance bonus.
