I'm really proud of you, Gooba! I think you learned a lot since the race with Fauna, you stomped the first two bosses without dying, even beat the bell gargoyles and the moon butterfly!

After watching Gura's play style, she doesn't roll that often and she often wants to trade blows with enemies. This lends itself more to heavy armor with poise, so her attacks wouldn't be interrupted. And probably a strength weapon as well, since she often has little stamina and can't do long combos anyway. Smashing an enemy to the ground or stunlocking them would help her tremendously.

I don't think many had you pegged as a Souls gamer, but you've shown you CAN do it. It's best to just play your own way and enjoy your time with the game without feeling pressured by how other people want you to play. Thank you for playing! The Master Key is not an item I'd personally recommend using on a blind playthrough - sure, it allows to skip a couple of difficult levels, but that breaks the pacing of the game, and why would anyone want to skip content on their first run anyway? The Master Key is more like an experienced player and/or speedrunner type of item. I myself like the Old Witch's Ring for the extra content it provides. Anyway, all of the items on that list can technically be obtained later in the game. No need to worry too much about the choice.

Happy to see Gura giving it a shot. I know a lot of people who love this game tend to be a bit too much, but i have a belief its in part of 2 kinds of players. The players who believe there is a right and wrong way to play the game, and the kind of person who wants others who want to genuinely guide others because there are a lot of things that the game refuses to explain and are easy to miss. I personally tend to become more of the 2nd but I have quelled that natural instinct since streamers are looking for how to play the game. Where as forums and the like are better places to give assistance to others who ask for it.

I do always find the focus on people playing it "wrong " weird. The game is pretty flexible, there are a huge number of viable ways to get through it, heavy armor, shields, fast rolls, parrying, magic, items, weapons, etc. And the all purpose fuck this button, jolly cooperation. Or just grinding. Boss fights can have tricks but you usually can just bryte force your way through (ceaseless discharge). And the game is so explorative and obtuse demanding someone play it right seems nonsensical.

@CuriosityMisledMe I agree to an extent. The thing is, when I first got into soul's games, I mainly immersed myself in the KZbin space, talking about how the game is played. Even had a play through that I mimicked because I wanted to find some of the more obscure areas of the game and follow the theory crafting others we doing at the time.

@@hunterking87 The only things in Dark Souls I can think of that you wouldn’t be able to naturally encounter is finding the Darkwraith Covenant, The Great Hollow/Ash Lake, a couple of quest lines, and the entrance to the DLC. Everything else can be found if you’re willing to take your time to think things through, along with reading item descriptions. Besides, you don’t need to find everything in the game on your first play through. Where’s the fun in exploration when you’re told exactly what to expect and what to do next by someone else? You may as well just hand them the controller at that point.

It was on this day a cute little Sharkey played a whole bunch of dark souls and then by the end of the play through after finally killing a beautiful butterfly that took her so many minutes to beat she said this as her final statement: Gura:I am hungry! And there was much rejoicing amongst the shrimpies lol! I am serious I think we have the keys for like a cute triforce of how to play soul's games because we got one side that is all calm collected and not angry which is enough Then we get everyone is angry which is everyone else and Finally you get gura who's just straight up cute alongside biboo who is also very cute with the added bonus of Her being Virgil's long Lost adopted I think daughter or sister. Which I think it makes sense that the Cute side of the triforce be occupied by the 2 cute little sisters of EN until GiGi came along and kind of destroyed that in a good way lol. Still it's great to see you play this game and I'm especially stoked to see you play the Luigi's mansion hd game so great job Goob!
