This is great. I want to buy a banjo now and pluck at it while I sit on the porch when it rains

the title made me click, great work. im playing darksouls rn and im just picturing this in a western version of it, kinda like how bloodborne was the gothic plague version of it.

Those first 6 minutes are, dare I say, some of the most haunting music I've ever heard. It makes you feel sad, yet also feel acceptance towards the state of the world. It leaves me wondering only 1 thing: How was this recorded?
@joesoundscapes8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. The recording process is mostly done in a home studio whilst the atmospheres are mostly done through field recordings taken prior to the instrumentals.

I think you may be better off with a microtonal sounds. Not sure if that's been done on a Banjo. It would sound interesting though.

Never thought I'd hear something like this framed like this. Mighty fine work. What's the source on the image, chief?

Thank you. The image was actually generated through an AI platform. I often switch between AI images or home photos taken from an iPhone and edited.

Parts of this remind me of Domeniconi's Koyunbaba. What tuning are you using?
@joesoundscapes5 ай бұрын
pretty sure it was double c tuning during this recording.
