When talking about the Knightmare cards, you mentioned they can help the Dark World discard effects. To my knowledge, that does not work. Dark Worlds need to be discarded by an effect for their effect to work. Knightmares discard as cost instead.

I've been mastering a "chess archfiend" fiend combo deck and I'm curious as to what your take on a "chess archfiend"/fiend combo deck would look like. I use diabolica, dark spirits, archfiend traps and boss monsters, unchaineds, dark worlds, fiendish rhinos. Wondering what you could do with fiends.

Only thing I’d change is having 3 allure’s I feel as though 2 trade ins and an allure might be more efficient as you don’t really want to banish your own monster in this deck and with trade in’s discard you can activate most of your darkworkd and danger’s cards effects

Trade in won't effect your dark world cards due to ruling since it's paying with cost dark world monsters effects won't activate

​@lewisbird8188 no dangers will trigger if they're discarded, regardless if it's cost or by card effect. Trade in can trigger them well for Bigfoot and thunderbird since they're level 8

Also trade in allows you to dump either of the 8* monsters to draw 2 cards, then you can just summon a dark world monster or spcl genta to just bounce it back to use it for allure abd spcl either boss 8*. Just my thoughts as I don't go to shops, health related, so no idea if that's a acceptable strategy.

during my previous locals I won game 1 via ftk maxx c challenge (ocg), then game 2 I summoned a 17k attack colorless. my following games were full of drolls and shifters didnt make it to top cut xD

Infection buzz king is a decent tech card for dark world

I find it extremely weird to not play Dark World Dealings, especially since you could use it in place of the Upstart's and get way more value. Also, kinda disappointed you took out Neko Mane King, the ultimate Dark World boss monster/win con.

@@Kylioken94 Right! The Danger engine is still nice and all but honestly without Gen and Ken imo you’re just trying to lose on purpose.. I can’t tell you how many games I managed to bearly squeeze a win out of because of Gen and Ken. I’ve literally lost track they are just so good! It’s a real shame they’re only in common at the moment cuz you know… Konami has to flip the bird to every kind of duelist somehow haha 😂 but here’s to hoping they’ll get some nice shiny reprints here in the near future!

@revolverjesus98 yeah hitting Sillva with Dangers can be annoying but at the same time you can kinda roll with it. A danger and a Sillva is at least 2 bodies on board which can give you a couple options. Personally if I have a danger and Sillva on board and either a Grapha or Reign Beaux 2 I would bounce the Sillva this giving me another chance to loop some of my opponents cards and special 1 of those 2 options then go in for a muckracker and build from there. I mean there are ways out of things and Ceruli is still a great card more so now than before I run at least 1 but also Sillva is another great reason to run Gen and Ken cuz you discard Sillva with Ken and you gain 2 while your opponent loses 2.

A janky card i thought of for dark world could be toy vendor. The first sentence of that card could give you a potential +2 from discarding.

The first discard is by cost so it would only trigger dangers and the second discard is pretty random so I wouldn't say it's viable.

TY-PHON just does not work in this deck. Your field spell renders it useless because it boosts the attack of all fiends.

True, but his continuous effect will still be live so at least your opponent's 3000+ monsters cannot activate either. Basically skill drain, but with big monsters

@cz8364 yes. Also to add, if my draws or my opponent doesn't allow me to get to my plays, I would go into ty-phon and would be able to use his effect to return a card to my opponent's hand. That's without the gates field spell

@cz8364 update: yeah after just rethinking with ty-phon's use in dark world, I can understand your point too. I had a lab player who summoned ty-phon and tried to activate his effect, until I pointed out the gates is preventing his own activation. This came to a shocking realization for him 😄
