so i did what you have done and know my black cable for the heater and cooler wont move my ac control gears any tips?
@DarkDragonWing2 жыл бұрын
Easy way out is to use your hand to move the gear manually. The main cause of the hard to turn is way inside the center box.
@DarkDragonWing2 жыл бұрын
These new gears will definitely help. And they will work just fine. The real cause is the heater blend door. Though, I don't think you need to replace the blend door if it still works. Here are some links to buy Lancer blend door. goo.gl/HO24vz The reason for that is because it's a big job to get to it. www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-general/313774-stiff-heater-temperature-control-dial-knob.html Here is a video that shows how to get to it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJXbeWCEns6jhrs

@septiembre30del20088 жыл бұрын
Looks like you still have a hard time turning that ac control knob after replacing the pin, I have the same problem and I think it has to do with the piece where you attached the levers you replaced. I believe that because this 2003 es model did not come with a cabinet filter dust must've gotten inside the compartment and that's what makes it hard to turn the knob. I would like to see you do that repair because it looks very difficult to replace, after that I would cut a hole behind the glove compartment and put a cabinet filter in there because it looks like there's a spot for it. Mitsubishi probably just said "ah fuck it, what's the worst that can happen?" Lol
@DarkDragonWing8 жыл бұрын
+Jesus Romero Yes, I will keep that in mind. Many people think it's the blend door. www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Mitsubishi-A-C-Heater-Temperature-Blend-Door-Repair-Kit-Lancer-Outlander-/201259997216?fits=Model%3ALancer&hash=item2edc07d820&vxp=mtr ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/supermechanic/2012-02-12_184854_2003_mitsubishi_lancer_l4-2.0l_sohc_-_a_c_-_temperature_knob_hard_to_turn.pdf But it's a lot of work, and mine is working ok since I only turn the knob a couple times a year.
