The board game actually has a little 30-40 minute tutorial mission that teaches the basic rules as you go. You could try that out to see if you like it

Well, I have played plenty of the video game so take this with a grain of salt, but I love the board game so far. The addition of a combat map adds an extra element of depth to combat, so it's not just group positioning and roling dice.

I paid extra to get my models before the new year and I am still waiting. I even picked up extras on the site after the campaign and I still waiting for that order. A few weeks ago I learn the company shipping the game on the east coast lost about 300 copies of the game. So like the video game this mini game is cursed. I can't wait to play it.

@@Onionkid99 Graverobber is already in btw. Missing by now are Leper, Houndmaster, Man at Arms, Shieldbreaker, Flagelant and Antiquarian. These are supposed to come in wave two with the missing biomes somewhere in the 2nd quarter of next year.

So many games with miniatures. When you proxy, how do you keep them straight? Or do you not care if they go back in their storage?

I put my minis in my display case so I don't bother. They stay on the same shelf and can be recognized as being part of the same set due to style, but I don't go out of my way to keep them straight.

Are the bases hollow underneath? What size are they? 25mm 28mm?

Bases are hollow underneath but it is very thin--if you magnetize, you may be able to fit a 1mm thick disc magnet under there. They are quite large with the knight hero measuring 35mm from feet to top of head.

You can't! Even with my KZbin channel, I'm only covering a fraction of the games that come out even with me specializing in games with miniatures and dungeon crawlers.

Hi, Its been a while since I have played any games, and I have not really been keeping up with all the systems, but now I would like to start again and try to get my daughter interested in gaming. If anyone has any recommendations for beginner games that are fun and can be played by a 9+ year old, I would love to know about it. Thanks

HeroQuest is a classic and the reprint makes it readily available now. Marvel United is also accessible if your 9 year old can manage cards. I've played Zombicide with kids (Black Plague is my favorite version but any of them would work).
