I often find myself searching the web for awesome soundtracks to games I enjoy to play or watch. However, many that I find are the OST, which tend to be short, while I would instead prefer versions that I could listen to at length. Back in those days, a ship's crew would be more or like a family, staying together in distant and foreign lands. That's what months of travelling... That can easily become years and years of serving on the same ship together do to people. That kind of pact goes beyond the grave... Or so they say ;)

Its incredible how the instruments are used to fill your mind of sea imagery. Bells remind you of harbors and ships, those instruments that sound like clams, the string instruments simulating a siren's song and everything else. This is the 2nd best track in the game to me.

Occultist is a scholar first and foremost. He definitely has a better understanding of the true nature of the cosmos than his companions. He even has an ability called "abandon hope", which implies that he has a nihilistic view of existence. Given Occultist's nihilistic views and probably knowing that the light is merely a delusion due to his experience with eldritch entities, it makes sense that he'd be an atheist.

Then, one fateful evening, as the sun set over the horizon, they heard it-a haunting melody emanating from the depths of the cove. It was a song that stirred their deepest desires and fears. The closer they ventured, the stronger the enchantment became. To the Crusader, the source was nothing but a hideous monster, but to his companions, it was the embodiment of their long-lost loves, their most profound desires, and beautiful women beckoning them to join. The Crusader was unable to rouse them from their stupor, and the haunting tune began to affect him as well. He found himself drifting into a world of his own, where his family awaited him, his wife's warm embrace, and his children's laughter filled his ears. The Siren whispered in his mind, "Just come live here. We will be the lovely family again." But as the Crusader's resolve wavered, a glimmer of reality shone through. He clutched the cross that his son had given him before he left, the same cross that had been a constant reminder of his duty and the world he had left behind. With a newfound determination, he raised his sword and, with pain coursing through his veins, cut off one of his ears. The shock of the self-inflicted pain brought him back to the real world, and he saw with horror that he had lost himself in the Siren's song. Only recently realized that track has ringing of ghostly ship bell and humming of underwater denizens of the cursed cove. Even if presence of ghostly enemies is extremely low in game, still pirate crew makes it in the theme.... Or this is just sonar bell to give more aquatic atmosphere to the music and I dig too much in it.

So weird sometimes I can hear the lady in the background singing and sometimes I straight up can't. And NO im not talking about the very obvious siren hymns you get during her boss battle, there is another type of battle hymnn that plays and I cannot find it- I think it's related to battle stress during a common battle- similar to wealds you hear more loud obnoxious shrieking after you are stressed or get crit'd.
