Umm Actually, Korean skin tones are brighter than you might think. It’s not because they want to be lighter.
@SAIVSSАй бұрын
@Roslyn_Lee I'm Korean and I shop at Korean cosmetic stores. Korean skin tones vary.. some are pale, some are darker (but not that dark).... and I know there are different ways to do make up, but in general, people want to appear "whiter" in tone. Every single time I go to a Korean owned cosmetic store they always suggest a lighter tone, and whenever they want to recommend a product or complement it, they tell me word for word, "this will make you whiter" LOL

I have a theory. Tirtir sent the first 9 shades to a lot of black/brown content creators and those shades were obviously waaaay too light for them. It takes MONTHS to manufacture shades and packaging, do photoshoots for the new swatches, and update the website and retailers on the new changes. I feel like tirtir always had these shades but released darker ones slowly to gain more attention and make it seem like they did something "new". It's still good that they have these shades but something tells me this was their plan all along.
