I think the SMM2 designers made a mistake: the game should’ve allowed you to recreate SMB3 exactly as the original while introducing new elements to allow a talented designer such as yourself to work on exciting “sequels” to SMB3 which would satisfy our never ending nostalgic desires of 80s/90s Nintendo gaming. Instead, they gave us a watered down palette of SMB3 which you’ve cleverly worked around but shouldn’t have had to. Despite all that, I hope you have worked on some kind of sequel to SMB3 using the existing game design elements which would make someone like Miyamoto smile.

Man... Y'know, when I started playing the Mario Advance games, on some actual physical hardware (a 3DS), I was thinking about how much I would like these. And, while I do like Super Mario Bros. 2, really like Yoshi's Island (which honestly is its own thing), and I'm still getting into Super Mario World... Super Mario Bros. 3 has to be my favorite, for sure. Every level had the right size, lasting just for long enough, the challenges were varied, the landscapes and themes were many, and completing every single stage in it was a treat. Given how I also watched the cartoon that was based on that game, it also has, in a way, the most nostalgia factor. So, I find it just awesome seeing all these so freaking well recreated!

I seen the cartoon and played the game and I love both. Even though I struggled with this game a lot, I played it on an emulator, it was nice to play. The vibe of the worlds are just nice

In the first fortress the way you used the munchers to simulate the spike room, good idea. I think it would be better to hace the same concept, but instead hang pirhana plants to act like the spikes

The matching to the map makes this better(it is sad things like the card slot, power up selection from the map screen, colored note blocks and some levels like 1-2 aren't exactly right)
