I've been thinking about Darko all day long. I'm so happy that he had an uneventful surgery and he is resting comfortably back in his home. Speedy recovery, sweet boy!

It is wonderful to see that Darko is recovering! Any surgery with our animals, especially older or very young, is so scary, and I can only imagine how you felt through this time! Hopefully that lump is only a cyst. What a relief that Darko's ok, may he recover well and become even more cuddlesome. Adeline sounds extremely sensetive to veggies, and it is difficult to gage exactly what happened when with our little ones. I give alot of forage to my buns, as both have upset tummies if they eat veggies. Thankfully, they love forage 💕.

Wonderful update. I was a little stressed about Darko's procedure too, but I'm very glad to know he did so well. The piggies look amazing, sweet little potatoes all of them. I hope Adelaide stays stable, happy, eating and pooping like everyone else.

Aww. I'm glad Darko's home and that he seems to be doing well. It looks like he likes the vetbed. I loved the hay conference the quad was doing, and it's nice to see Addie doing better. Vada and Alvin are doing great. I love how Alvin always comes up for a pet.

I agree with you Abby, it is so disheartening when the piggies stop eating or slow down eating, makes my heart sink every time and seems like it is always due to something seriously wrong. Hope sweet little Addy is doing well soon and eating normalizes for you both!♥♥♥

Thank you so much for the update Abby. i was worried about Darko's surgery given his age & was praying he would be safe. Poor adeline, she probably didn't understand that she would never have to go hungry again. That she now has a responsible Mama that loves her. i am hoping she has a speedy recovery too. But like you said, Butter Pecan did good on that medicine too. i can't imagine being a piggy, unable to eat veggies.. that would be like us humans not eating chocolate. My 4 girls were mad at me this morning, because it was nail trimming day. lol

It’s great that he doesn’t chew. It’s nice that he can have soft fuzzy beds for his older joints. He’s such an adorable deserving little guy. Glad everything went well and he’s on the mend so quickly. It’s so sad to think of any of these animals being dumped or given up on but if they weren’t, the little ones like Adeline would suffer without treatment.

Hi Abby, hoping you and your Guinea pig family are well. Quick question I am struggling to find a suitable replacement for my guinea pigs pallets. I didn’t realize the small pet select is got a bunch of grain in it now I’m all upset, I don’t know what brand of pellets you feed your babies I was looking at Sherwood, but they have two different kinds the premium and the free choice. I’m hoping you can give me some guidance.

Ah! Preventative for testicular cancer which they’re prone to with age

@lenajazuk4231 he was under for spurs off his molars and they said made sense to neuter so he doesn't get testicular cancer which is common in the older males. It is a very quick procedure and as I said, he already needed to be put under for his molars.

P.S i admit Abby, that i would've cried had Darko went to another home. Where we would be able to all enjoy his beautiful face. He's so sweet.
