It's called "darkpsy" - Dark Psychedelic Trance. It's often faster than "regular" psytrance, and the theme is "dark", "horror", etc.

Good point. Now that I think of it, it's not dark... I really don't know what it is. It's a heavy mindfuck none the less! But it sounds more like darkpsy than full-on or other trance. Ego-death-psy sounds like a good genre for Psykovsky. :)

@Kioooi Thing is, it ALL used to be just Goatrance when I was playing that shit in the nineties; BPM and heavyness didnt really matter...then a bit later the only distinction was was Psytrance and Goatrance...for me it still works like that. Now there's kids who make the distinction between morning pay, forestpsy, dark psy, suomi- psy and fuck knows whatever else distinctions they make nowadays...there is even people who tell me that psytrance has nothing to do with drugs..that's just nonsense

@jeffromofo Sorry dude, it's just psy to me...dark psy is boring, this isnt. Accordng to this 'darkpsy' classification, most Goatrance would be called dark-psy. Perhaps you think it's going to make you look tough if you are a dark-psy lover, but the flow within this (even on acid or DMT) is harmonic and deep. I do not call that dark.

Goatrance and psytrance is about uniting everyone and breaking away distinctions between people...people who make these genre-distinctions obviously just dont get it. Must be because good acid is very hard to find if you dont know nice people. Most psytrance sucks nowadays, Most dark, at least the bulk of it, is extremely simple and boring. If you want to take speed and flip out just listen to hardcore gabber or something; good psy is always colourful and harmonic.
