This is the continuation of the portraits I took of my cousin Millah.
Last month I went to visit family and friends in Monterey Bay, CA.
Whenever I travel I bring along my Rolleiflex T. Lucky me, my cousin Millah let me take her portraits in what use to be one of my go to spots when I lived in the area.
The following week once arriving to Mexico I developed her rolls of film.
Now I'm sharing what follows, which is to make a contact sheet and create the photograph.
I mention the cost of photo paper in USD (not pesos) because it was purchased when I still lived in California. I looked into what it would cost me now that I live in Mexico but had a hard time finding many options. RC paper on the other side was really easy.
I hope this video was useful and inspired you to work on that photo project you've been wanting to make happen.

I never thought of using split grades for test sheets in that way - thanks for the tip. Been printing on and off for 30 years and still learning!

Great video once again señorita!😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 always a joy to watch and when I get alerted of a new video I’ll set some time in the evening and watch them😊 No rambling on as you say as you are just passionate and being genuine about what you love👍🏼 Definitely identify with putting the brakes on printing due to cost of materials, I print digitally in a 13”x19” size for my portfolio and the cost of inks is crazy!😱 Anyway thanks again for this video inside your world, keep them coming!😊 Cuidate!

Thanks for the vid. Couple a questions. 1- you made 3 but want to make more so the question is, you take notes, write down times & on one of the prints? Eg in red circle something with a time to maybe change exposure of/or part of the image? 2- at the end in the dark room, those your photos to the left of the cabinet?
@filmphotovm
@filmphotovm 2 ай бұрын
I write notes so just when I want to remake a print I can have a good starting point. It also gives me an idea of what I need to change if it needs it. Once the prints are dry I can adjust those notes. Such as where I burned too much, maybe do less next time. All the b&w photos on the left side of the drying cabinet are my prints. They’re test strips or bad prints that I just didn’t have the heart to toss to the garbage.
