The great devourer was the overlord himself who possessed a snake and he's also guilty for the trauma that Harumi got on childhood, with a little help from that stupid doctors saying that the ninja didn't helped, but the overlord was the beginning of all evil of ninjago, that's not shocking cuz he's literally the devil.

Garmadon perhaps one of my favorite characters was never destined to be evil he was just written because he's half Evil half Good so there's not really a way to classify him, Besides for some reason he hates Lloyd and doesn't remember being good at all.
