Darksiders - Aerial Predator Achievement/Trophy Guide

TIP: Save at the beginning of the flight section. But also, look at the Stats tab in the Chronicle menu. Look at "Total Kills", and add 160 to that. That's your goal. Whenever you reach the end, check the stat and you can see how many you missed. If you're desperate, you can focus on doing as many kills per checkpoint as you can, then make a separate manual save to try again on the next checkpoint. All checkpoints (autosaves can seen on the bottom left) 0:01 1 0:39 2 2:01 3 3:13 4 4:44 5 7:02 enemies stop I used this method of multiple saves. I reloaded several times to make sure I get a better score. And the trophy unlocked! Here are my records so others can use them as reference: I start at checkpoint 1 with 482 'Total Kills' To 2 with 493 (+11) To 3 with 510 (+17) To 4 with 518 (+8) To 5 with 572 (+54) To end with 651 (+79) So I got 169 total. Make sure you don't overwrite the save at the beginning. Use different save(s) for the method.

Oh and turn off Game Tips in Game Options if you're as annoyed as me at that notification at the beginning. Remember to turn them on again after you get the trophy. Did it first try using the save scumming trick.

almost 10 years later, did this on my first try on the remaster! You really don't need to worry about killing the big angels at all, most of the time they will distract you from getting the larger groups of small enemies that come and go very quickly. I followed the guide as I went through the flying event and it was very helpful to know when a large group was coming up. That was enough for me to get it first try. I just focused on the small groups that he mentions throughout the video (including the ones he misses) and made sure I was ready for them in my game by pausing it after each one to check when the next is coming up.

Just wanted to send a thanks to the uploader. I was struggling with this last achievement and after watching the vid I got it on the first try. Set your Sensitivity high(I chose 70%), use rapid fire a lot and definitely only hold RT for 2 seconds at the most, get rid of those rockets ASAP!

I got it in APOCALYPTIC and I killed 199. Swarms of locusts and small bats are the key to this trophy. Thanks a lot for the video.

THANK YOU! I'd once managed to get 159 kills and never got that close again - after watching your video I got 173! The eureka moment for me was when I saw you only "painting" the little swarms for half a second before letting go and starting to paint again. I'd been painting a load of targets at once and I think most of them had gone out of range by the time I released the trigger. That was all I needed for 1000G!

great video.. this helped me tremendously.. oh and by the way for those still trying to get this one, the sequence can be divided into two parts.. at around 3:14 of the video, you can see that it is autosaving.. just build up as many kills as you can before that point (around 80-90 i guess) then do the second part.. if you don't get it, just reload the autosave file to load the 2nd part instead of starting from the beginning..

Thank you for this. The tips you gave were mostly already known to me, but what I did was I used your video as I played to prepare for incoming waves of locusts and bats. The trophy popped for me at almost the same instant as it did for you. This video really helped, thanks again.

I was able to do this on the hardest difficulty, but it took a long time of restarting sections. My best tip is to basically do what he's doing, and at the 5:30 mark, destroy the stalagmites and stalactites prematurely, so you can paint as many as the small bats as possible and not have your shots get interrupted. Without a doubt, that little bit of time will rack up the most kills you ever get in the whole run. I literally got about 70 right there.

Great vid, I saved pre-flight then made a new save after I got about 40+ when you go into the second cave. Saved again at the dragon fight when I had about 100 or so kills and went from there. Pausing the game and playing the segment of the video corresponding with what you are about to play will give you a heads up where the big clouds of little enemies will be giving you a good advantage and reducing the amount of memorization you'll have to do. got it in my 3rd try. key is to remember the sections where the small moth type hordes come and go. just keep locking till the exit the screen. then full concentration on them n not on the enemy birds as they (moths) are 1 hit kill where as enemy birds take more then one. as a benchmark u'd have over 110 kills by the time u kill the large dragon thingy.. then there are 3 hordes after them go all out on them

@moonkill3: Check the number of total kills you have at the start of the sequence and add 160 to find the number you need to finish with for the achievement/trophy. On 360 you find this by pressing the back button and going to the third pane (probably Select on PS3).

Nice vid. 140 was the most I could manage before I knew to shoot the trucks and use single fire on the big dudes. I ended up popping it roughly the same spot as you.

you have to re-play the game from the start. It's not that far in though, you can easily speed run it on easy

Just did it on apocalyptic, easiest method seems to be to hold in the charge, you just gotta get used to releasing and charging on large swarms. Even if they are off screen you can get em.

for people having a hard time.Put X and Y sensitivity to about 70% of the sensitive bar.this way you will get way more kills,you target pretty much everything because the aiming is so fast.

@AetherPirate1 Don't know what to tell you. If you are keeping track of your kills using the stats screen, and you really are 200+, something is obviously glitched. Remember you need to get them all in one run.

It depends on which trucks. You can try and guess by how many souls you get afterwards, but all i can really figure is it seems almost impossible to get without shooting the trucks.

It is easier to do without dying, because instead off trying to get kills within the amount you have left, you can just get better and better at the whole thing, so you have the best chances.

Press Select and it'll show you your total kill count. Just subtract your total at the end of this section from what it was at the beginning.

Just earned aerial Predator on apocalyptic difficulty for ps3 after only 12 minutes finishing with a total of 163 kills for the trophy.

I made it! 163 kills even before i entered the tunnel that leads to the cathedral. It was just a routine run to make sure, where which enemy spawn and when it blinked i was just like WTF?! O_O

Booyah Got it & the Platinum! But I HAVE A TIP there's 2 auto save spots, find them & then redo each save spot b4 it auto saves until u get ur best score & when u do go 2th next autosave. For a reference I had 106 kills at th last & 2nd autosave, and still only got 141kills Pheeew And it feels sooo Good BFA- Big Fuckin Achievement

I only tried this trophy tht 1 time on Apocalyptic but I've tried it 2x now on easy & it doesn't make it any easier except u don't die as easy bc it still takes th same # of shots to kill th enemies. Something's gotta be wrong. I am watching your video, telling out almost every single one you miss, which I don't, and yet I've been at this for a few hours, not unlocking anything. I am constantly reloading a save from when the initial sequence starts before the event. Any ideas? I am quitting for now, since I seem to be doing better than presented in your video, yet, as mentioned, no achievement...
