Both the John Maus version and this version are great. I like how this one is clean, and has more lyrics, but I also love John's haunting and reverberated duet with her, and it has more synths to it.

Maus also went to the capital protest to protest cancel culture like its something new and people havent been getting ostracized for being assholes for generations already. And Ariel pink chooses to be a total asshole too and chases girls in their 20s while hes like pushing 40 . If these guys get cancelled its their own fault. It's because it's a simple 4 chord arpeggio that just repeats throughout the whole song, so it's just a typical chord progression that is probably found in several other songs due to chance alone. Out of any 4 chords you can combine in any order, only a small subset of them are going to sound normal/good in a short loop that keeps repeating. I think the only time this isn't generally the case is in classical music as the melodies are much more complicated, drawn out, and less repetitive.
