The really sad part is people like myself who grew up with GTA, got a taste of online and multiple through the PSP games, and wanted a full online so bad that we got everything that we could hope for ended up being the worse thing possible. GTA Online is great, but it cost us Rockstar Games. No Bully 2, Red Dead is left to die, Manhunt is gone, and Midnight Club tossed out. The company that once set standards and pushed boundaries focuses on selling us digital money.

It's still a big mystery as to why GTA 6 is taking so long. However, as someone with a bit of experience working under a small group of indie game developers, my bet is either A.) Conflicting ideas, or B.) Technical limits. At this point I'm 1000% inclined to believe that Rockstar are in development hell.

Paydays Starbreeze had a bigger bang for payday 2s 10 year anniversary. They overhauled a limited time event, added 3 temporary joke weapons, made a bunch of payday franchise announcements while doing a 10 year recap over the course of 10 days, and had a huge sale while all of this was going on. Rockstar released 3 weapon skins, hoodies and shirts you'll never wear, a vehicle they were gonna release anyways and extra money on classic events.

They either creating a world that will weigh 200gb+ or they actually have problems in their studio, just think about it, ten years in production or even six if you consider some other people saying that they started working on next GTA only since 2017. Partly working on GTA Online updates, like 10 cars on their lunch break to keep their community busy, you have to go creatively bankrupt to be stuck on GTAV for so long.

The same people that did GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition did the 10th anniversary mobile ports, and the PS3 and Xbox 360 port of the Mobile port of GTA San Andreas. GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition isn't even that bad anymore. GTA 3 DE and Vice City DE are fine. GTA San Andreas DE should have gotten another patch, the San Fierro impound lot is still inaccessible. 😆😆😆

@@kirbyleeditko9922 yes it is .. they want all graphics and map but forgot about actual gameplay,shooting,car deformation .. its arcade shell of itself while online makes no sense and stuff is even more numbed down with no gamplay whatsoever drive there shot enemies (copies of themselfs) drive back , drive there pick up something drive back, also where was the last time your purchased car deformed in online in satifying way? ye we have bulletproof tires armor on a cars we can jump with them fly with them and everything always shoot missiles fun maybe for toddlers not the community i was a part of

Let’s be real, Take Two does not care about making investors happy right away and they definitely have no pressure to announce GTA VI anytime soon. The fact is, no matter how angry the community gets with rockstar, when GTA VI releases, they are going to break sales records regardless. I don't have any reason to believe the next GTA will be good for the single player crowd. I'd bet the game will feature a bare bones story that is continued in the multiplayer mode. Or hell, maybe the main protagonists we saw in the leaks were just a create-a-character and the only story in the game is told through the multiplayer lol

No I don’t think that will be the case. What is actually confirmed is the game will be short at launch because they want to release it unfinished and add the rest of the content through updates, and the writing is gonna try not to offend anyone which is similar to what the Saints Row reboot did.

The fact that I was 13 when this game released and I'm now 23 STILL waiting for GTA 6 says a lot, by the time 6 releases I'm gonna be in my late 20s married with my own kids. A lot of us who have waited for several years, only for it to more than likely be released when none of us will have time is just sad. I just want a new game to play and make new friends as I did when GTAV online released. I haven't touched GTAV for several months due to all of the updates feeling repetitive. They removed some of the best cars, added in a bunch of overpowered weapons, vehicles and then nerfed the jets due to people being griefed. I'm sure once 6 is released they'll milk it just like 5 for another 10 or 15 years and enhance it for new consoles. Eventually R* will completely crumble to the ground.
