Why doesn't every game do this, where the characters' on-screen profile pictures appear similar to their colour palette? Marvel does it and this game does it. Every other game just shows a generic picture with their normal colour scheme. I'd love to be able to tell what damn colour I'm choosing in SFxTK or AE or something.

What do you mean? I've been havin' a blast with it all day. Sure there's some silly stuff in it combo wise, but most 90's fighters had crazy stuff.

Never really noticed Hsien-Ko design, a cute Jiāngshī/Chinese Zombie that's pretty awesome. Her fighting style would fit perfectly into the SSB universe and her design too that's probably why she caught my attention above everyone else.

If anyone wants to pick up Hsien Ko, I've got a nasty wake-up game strategy for you. Once you knock your opponent down, use the HP weapon toss (the one that throws the weapon up in the air), then do a dash on the ground. Since her dash has her vanish briefly, you can create a left-right mix up game with them trying to figure out where you'll reappear on and which side to block the thrown weapon, not to mention the high-low unblockable set-up you can then go into. Not perfect, but still nasty.

Hsien-Ko, Morriigan and Jedah are my fav characters on this game. But you always need to see the command list because Darkstalkers supers are like Akuma's Raging Demon inputs.

...Yea, it's true. She has some potential as a zoner, but I feel like no one uses her like that. She can cover her assists, and can get along with a lot of them too.Maybe I'm just too optimistic, but she can be good.

Practice and learning fundamentals. Solid fundamentals will generally carry over to any game of the same kind. (2D or 3D). Also learning from losses is very important.

practice is important but you also need reflexes and execution. If you land a hit, you cant get flustered and forget what to do. You also need to react to certain things in the correct way. In a sense, you need some talent in certain areas to be good at fighting games.

This game only has two characters in a given match and it somehow feels more frantic than UMVC3 where you have 6 characters.

Meta-Knight can stay invisible and untouchable as long as he wants. Ice Climbers have 0-Death grabs you can do nothing about once you get grabbed. Snake has moves where the hitboxes are 2x as far as his hurtboxes. She'd be lucky to be high tier. Much more likely to be mid tier in smash. Too floaty for her size, projectiles arcs and randomness would hurt her a lot. Good at poking shields most likely though which is a plus.

I think it's hilarious that in a game where everyone's a dark monster and there's all these evil beasts and vampires and really disturbing stages.... And everyone makes a face like O_O when they fall down!

I certainly hope this isn't one of the games you ignore after release week. P4A, PSAS, Tekken Tag 2, and eventually SC5. Out of all those games, I dunno about anyone else, but I'd like to see more Darkstalkers after the release week. Lord knows this game needs that sort of publicity. I know that most of the fighting games I play were started because they're fighters you play.

There's 2 sides to every argument. So, by 'worst' they mean 'lowest potential'. She's slow, has some moves, and does less than decent damage. And I know I don't need to tell you this, but this is more for others. She makes a good zoning character with the gong, as it can be tk'd, reflects projectiles, nullifies beams, and can protect assists. She's not gimmicky, which allows more time to adapt to the enemy and less time adapting to your character. I could go on, but I believe I've made my point,
