Picked up some of these recently and they're absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend a citadel Retributor Armour base, a brown wash, then a Darkstar Royal Gold drybrush. This makes for an incredible shiny and defined gold. I typically paint over a white (wraithbone) primer. Some highlights in the range are Royal Gold, Copper, and Silver.

I have literally the same case 😮 It's a case for essential oils I found on Amazon, and I liked it so much for my paints I got it three times. Although I have switched to a much bigger case with two compartments for my paints now bc it just wasn't feasible to buy more and more of the small cases.

I have some of the golds, I have the same issue with the colours almost beading off the primer. It airbrushes well, but still takes multiple coats. *very* gold, which is what I wanted.
