ElStomatube this comment was left a long time ago but I have nothing else to do so: The high pitched snare is called a pan snare and it’s very important to deathstep. I’m not sure why it is but if you listen to a deathstep song you’ll instantly know not just because of the bass but because of that pan snare. Dubstep snares just don’t hit as hard as deathstep ones do.
