5:16 I assume they cut the sound to make the challenge seem more ominous. Ive seen similar effects done in fan games like fnac1 and 2 where "The Rat" has either no music, or a slowed down verison of the menu music to highlight just how "out of place" the dude is compared to candy, cindy, ect.
