It is always big game hunting season when I bring out the slugs and forcing Hadron to make me a shotgun to my exact specifications makes it that much sweeter.

I love the Agripnaa shotgun, it's such a reliable weapon in just about every situation. Reload can be a bit of a pain in a pinch- but at the same time, being able to single-load shells is helpful in emergency situations. I like to run Scattershot and Man-Stopper for that delicious penetration to delete an entire line of Shotgunners or Ragers with just a shell, or magdumping a horde- it also does a really good job at letting me snipe priority targets through crowds. I find a lot of value running Executioner's Stance with it, since the Agri has enough range to countersnipe fairly well and makes a great anti-elite/shooter. You can even get some value out of smoke grenades, using them to cover yourself and the team and then ES shooters/specialists while they can't really do anything back to you- although, I've gone back to Shredder nades for the more versatile utility they have for damage and stagger. All in all, I think the Agri is the best shotgun- its damage profile is perfect, it's very accurate and has surprisingly good range, and that slug round is such a good tool for sniping and staggering. The only gun I'll actually use over it is the Kantrael Infantry Lasgun in low visibility/no ammo runs.

Slug shotgun is genuinely good, both its base and special attack, I'm real sad people scoff over it, like many other guns as well, honestly every weapon is pretty damn viable even for auric maelstrom but people barely give them a thought. Like its ability to knock and stagger almost every enemy is insane, even Bolter can't stagger/knock Crushers and Bulwarks.

I guess some people fail to realize you *have* to land headshots with this thing to make the most of it. Its main body shot damage is generally subpar unless you're shotting a mauler in the chest with 8 focus target stacks in which it gets to about a 4 shot bodyshot range. Using a slug to open up a Bulwark shield is also a great thing to have in your kit.

How does No Respite actually work? Like the slug shot will stagger, but the bonus only applies to the next follow up shot while the enemy is in the stagger animation?

@dbombers3632 any source of stagger from anybody will make no respite work. It could be grenades, shout, idol, lightning, voidstrike, etc. you could use deathspitter for a higher peak of 30% but it has an on kill requirement to build up its stacks while no respite is a consistent 20% on anything that was staggered. This is actually huge on monsters that have been shouted, grenaded or anything else that could stagger a monster.

When you've purged for so long (and have a decent 7.1 DAC and headphones) you just get used to hearing certain mobs as background noise to the point that certain sounds of things that just *aren't* trying to kill you happen to stand out more.
