Alundra 2 Legend of Dragoon Breath of Fire 3 & 4 Final Fantasy 6, 7, 8 & 9 Digimon World 1 Many fond memories playing these games for hours on end, many of which I still play and complete with each passing year. The PS1 & PS2 was definitely the defining era for RPG/JRPG games.

ePSXe can look amazing with the right plug-ins. I prefer playing Castlevania - SoTN on ePSXe instead of PS3 only due to the save points looking a lot better. lol The polygon type of games get the best treatment with ePSXe. Same with PCSX2 emulator for PS2 games.

Hey, great list, but, I didn't find the one I'm searching, it was a RPG I remeber played at PS1 like 2000/2002, you were a boy in a village, you start going around the houses and talking to the people, one of them said something about giant rats they saw the other nigth/day and your mission is to find out what was it, as you're investigating it goes dark, like nigth time and it's raining and you're holding a lanttern, I remember gettin out the village like for the next stage and you were in like a other village but it was like burnt out or destroyed, everything looked like a fall season, I been trying to find that game for manytime, if you know anything let me know please 😉 nice video editing by the way 👍

A shame that most PS1-inspired games are only limited to horror, being all dark and gloomy. When there were games on that console that were colorful and vibrant and there was so much more variety of genres than just being pure walking simulators with screamers everywhere. If only there was a PS1 style game that was different from the rest and focused more on reviving the golden age of JRPGs on the PS1 and that was as graphically beautiful as possible despite the low polygons and that people would see the old PS1 games in a different way. Well, I'm already tired of the absurd overvaluation towards pixel art that is taking place thanks to Octapath Traveler and the "HD-2D".

You play as what I think was a Native American but you can also play as a Knight (I think she was female) and another character that I don’t remember at all. Their stories would intermingle too. For example the Knight character kills the Native American’s little brother in one scene. Please somebody help. It’s like it doesn’t exist.

Im trying finding a game but sadly its was more than 10 years so my memory its no very acurate. I remember a scene where the mc its in bed room then suddenly shows a cutscene of flying island shaking like a earthquake then the mc exists the room and go up stairs and enter in area like a brown cave where you have one brown stair for down that where you exited out from bed room and other stairs to go up and the middle of both stairs you have a brown floor and then you go there suddenly appear a enemy, red dragon something similar its a big enemy. That is very vague, saving the world is like the most common thing you do in JRPGs. Tales of Phantasia had a sick mother at the beginning, but on PS1 you can play it only with fan translation. It has many ports though and originally is from SNES.

Somebody can help find a game? i think the game have a pre-rendered graphics. Its game where the main char(young guy) wake up in a bed of small room, then suddenly appear a cutscene where its having a earthquake in flying school, and when main char get out of room he go up by stairs, where its like a dungeon with like a cave, where suddenly appear a huge boss from pit that have a form of dragon something like that. Can someone help me, i remember a ps1 game I think it was rpg.. after the first 5-10 minutes it had a scene similar to when sethoroth killed the female party member in ff7 But it was the players main charaxter (I think).. the party (you and two others( changed depending on the name you had and a few other questions (I think). After this first area.. there was a city by an ocean you go to.. with an old man you have to fight, i can't discribe more beacuse ive never played past that(my disc was scratched sorry).. i want to know what this game was!.. i want to find it again
