I was a bit later late 90s early 2000s we did describe ourselves as goths. Looking back we definitely were. Maybe a bit of color like red plaid pants and red, blue hair. I remember the girls wore the black jeans with skirts over them. But I remembered the emo kids were all freshmen and we didn’t like them

I sent this to my college daughter to show what we did(Not exactly the same but similar) back in the 80's and early 90's. She and her friends were amazed and wished their generation did this. To dance to music that touched you in the soul and mind, to get out expression, anxiety, frustration, depression, or whatever..... That was our church. glad I was a part of it.

Yes the 80,s was fantastic I left school in 81 and went into a garage as apprentice 80,s music on all day depeche mode human league etc I almost weep when I think of the great times I had and NO mobile phones

Same here. Left school 1981. Started as an apprentice mechanic at British coal. Apprentice money was shit. My first take home pay was £48. Samuel Smiths bitter was 48p a pint in the local. You could have a hell of a night out on £5 and still have money for the chip shop on the way home. That £48 a week went a long way back then.

I am 38 now and I have always been a metalhead,black and death metal mostly but now as I got older I really started enjoying goth (any sort of goth and dark whatever)..I mean I was always into darkest form of music,even enjoying doomcore,darkcore,funeral doom..but now old school goth is what suits my soul the most.

Pero resulta que en España en esa época estábamos a la vanguardia a nivel clubes discoteca, moda para vestir que se tuneaba mucho la ropa en 80s principio de 90s.en Valencia del 85 al 89 tuvimos un boom de grupos Ingleses y de otros sitios .actuando en estas discos famosas. Man, hard to believe this song was produced just a few years ago. It really sounds like from the early 80s. Many have tried to make "retro" songs but you can notice they are modern, but this one really sounds old.

Apologies if this has already been posted but Darkways is actually a newish artist from Spain, Marc Perez, with his first release in 2016, DARKWAYS. NEON LIGHTS was just released early last year. I was born in ‘71, so growing up with this style of music I’m amazed how he nails the sound so well.
