One of the best games on the NES, with reasonable difficulty for casual play and, evidently, high enough skill ceiling for speedrunning. The cartoon was so good that even my dad watched it with me while laughing his ass off, and he was the biggest snub the world has ever seen.

I love tmr. I'm 35 and he plays all the games I grew up with, and fucking slays. Hes amazing. Also, I love listening to him do his own commentary on his runs. It cracks me up, and most of the time I learn something. So good.

TMR is my absolute favorite speedrunner... Man, I remember when TMR first started grinding out Contra... I never saw so much effort and strategy put into a run and gun game before that and I've been hooked on watching speedrunners since...

Great run and commentary despite some language hiccups. The game is borderline painful when playing casually so it makes it incredibly satisfying to see someone just blaze through it
