This song hits hard because I used to be homeless when I came back to nyc, lived in 5 shelters, slept in Central Park, Bryant park, begged for food, walked around stank smelling like the back end of a garbage truck….today I have my own place, my first new car I bought all in cash, been to Europe multiple times and so far by Gods mercy and grace I’m doing fine, I thank God!!!

To be honest . If I believed that somebody died on a cross for my sins, I would to be acting the same way ! Dancing jumping … literally going wild if I believed someone died for me .

Someone out there is watching this that has “no clothes or shoes and no food to eat”. I wonder if this performance is going to direct that person to Jesus for help.

Kirk is extremely talented and I enjoy much of his music. But I am concerned that many gospel singers get too absorbed in the fame and forget that their music is centered on Christ. They start making the performances about themselves. This is a concert but the singers should move with more humility in the performances instead of doing all of the gyrating, and hopping around. This has "Kirk Franklin" written all over it, not Jesus. And if anyone thinks I am being judgemental, I don't intend to be. I start to see why the older folks have issue with music that is very high energy like this. It gets you in a state where you become lost in the noise, your emotions are excited and even though you sing of Jesus, you forget he's there. It becomes entertainment and not reverence. Nonetheless, his songs have beauty to it and I am sure it helped so many people who were struggling. Not all Christian music need to be monotoned. There should be some victory music there. I just think they should dial it down with the showboating and make themselves less...in everyone's face.
