This is wonderful!!! I know lens imperfections can go away with lenses manufactured in micro gravity. I also know that fiber optic cables greatly increase efficiency when manufactured in micro-gravity. These two breakthroughs are the key to solving this. Especially with an inertial fiber optic gyroscopic! Top this off with software such as Geospy AI and it’s pretty exciting!!!

Like a digital sextant that can be applied to 2D images to determine a sense of latitude and therefore estimate distance?

here's a better question: why do you NEED to tell the distance between objects in 2D images? most self driving cars use a combination of a radar and multiple camera angles of live video to make its determinations. what would the purpose be in determining space between two non-geographical entities in a 2D photo other than to process a ton of photos the NSA gathered and can't do anything with?

I think tesla cars just use cameras and no other sensors.
