I think the faces of the 6 people he killed should be painted inside his cell as a mural and he is not allowed to cover them up or destroy them. He should have a personal food tray with the mural on it, so as he eats the faces are revealed. When he's naughty and requires solitary confinement, there should be a special cell with the mural painted all over, including the floor and ceiling. A photo of his head, with his mouth open should be emblazoned inside the toilet bowl. He would be forced to think about them every day, as a tasting menue of what awaits him when he is no longer able to serve the remainder of his sentences. @amandaroberts35342 жыл бұрын
I understand and agree that it's annoying and frustrating to the point of being atrocious at times. It even further victimizes the victims. Unfortunately for victims, it is necessary to ensure Due Process. It's difficult for anyone to know someone has hurt you, someone you care about, and/or others and still has the ability to blatantly continue his assault with the permission of the law. It's a terrible position to be in. However, I remind myself that the end game is more important than the current moment we are living in. I kind of think of it in an analogy in the strategy of a sport. For instance, if one player is fouled, no matter what sort of violation has occurred, one must restrain himself from the emotional instict to retaliate. To obtain the desired outcome and reach the goal, it's best to allow the foul and see it as a gifted (by the offender) shortcut to the finish line. Winning a team sport is just as much a mental strategy as it is a show of physicality. Also, we understand the concept of losing a battle, but winning the war. In the situation of allowing defendants to make asses of the court...It may momentarily feel as if it's an embarrassment to our justice department. However, this process has the ultimate goals of maintaining and obtaining equal justice. The American Justice System will reflect those painstakingly efforts taken and be viewed as just.

I'm pretty sure "Hear-Say" means testifying about what you heard someone else say about another fact or someone else's statements, basically a "gossip chain". In contrast to reporting what a person told you directly about something they know, during an interview. It may be more complicated. I'll check my own quiz. EDIT: actual definition information received from other people that one cannot adequately substantiate; rumor. LAW the _report of another person's words by a witness_ , which is usually disallowed as evidence in a court of law. "everything they had told him would have been ruled out as hearsay" Detective testifying what Erica told him _about herself_ , in a police interview, her injuries or anything that Brooks did to her, that's *not* hearsay. Detective testifying that Erica told him that she heard Brooks or someone else state a fact, that would be inadmissible hearsay.
@gg_rider2 жыл бұрын
I got this now: Brooks grilling the detective, an expert witness, on whether Ms Patterson was lying, or less than fully forthright, on earlier interviews, his grilling opened up the door for the State to ask the detective directly why Ms Patterson withheld details at first about brutality she received, and the detective's answer that this was due to her *fear of retaliation by Mr Brooks* . That is an answer I'm sure Brooks would have preferred to leave off the record, but he couldn't help himself from trying to impugn the integrity of one of his victims.

Brooks would be a contender for being categorized as a sesquipedalian with a touch of an anomic or amnesia aphasia diagnosis. Sesquipedalian describes someone who uses verbiage, words and phrases without knowing their meaning or use in context. Think of Michael Erik Dyson speaking, yet not knowing what 80% to 90% of the 10 and 20 dollar words he uses mean, as an example. The psycological diagnosis of anomic or amnesia aphasia, refers to individuals who misuse words or have difficulty in remembering descriptive and technical word context in describing people, places, things and events. It is believed to be most often caused by a stroke, brain tumors and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). In regard to D. Brooks, I would select "E." All of the Above...

I wondered why he wasn't standing for jury. i think he's doing it, in his mind, to make the jury think hes shackled and CANT stand. hes trying to gain sympathy for being in jail clothes. also, in beginning, before jury came in he'd start an argument with judge, then as jury came in he'd keep making statements like, "the jury should know" or "its hiding evidence and jury should know" he would make these comments after the judge told him to be quiet the jurys coming in. she never responded. but its obvious what his small brain was thinking. he's trying to slip those comments in to place doubt in jurys mind that there's evidence they arent getting. ofc it's ridiculous. theres proof he was driving, proof he ran over the people.

2:54:30 - Brooks crying over the Judge taking away his Covid test results is all about control. He’s angry he doesn’t have control over her like he does with Ericka and his mom. Strangely he never shows this amount of emotion when talking about the victims he killed and injured, or even when he talks about how he can no longer see his kids. This incident is the one that got the most tears from him in the 3-week trial. What does that say about him? That control over those around him is much more important than anything else. And as for the people killed and injured in the parade? He never shed a tear throughout the whole trial. A few times he acted like he was feeling grief for the deaths - especially at the autopsy of Jackson Sparks - but there were never tears except for himself.

Pay attention to how when Zack is questioning her she is so relaxed because she really is not used to hearing a kind and soothing voice from a real man and then when this demon 👿 starts to question her she becomes a little nervous because she just feels his evil presence of his voice

I LOVE THE JUDGE AND THE OFFICER NOT LOOKING AT THAT SCUMBAG BUT THE JURY INSTEAD!

Multiple people have severe, life changing injuries and six people are dead but I’m so glad Darell saw the nurse and had his bruises looked at, although he’s still “a little tender”. Get well soon Darell 🖕

Its so offensive how he tries to imply people are financially gaining by testifying. Totally irrelevant. Totally absurd. How does he think this will help his case. He so upset that the officer answers his questions looking at the jury. He is soooo clueless. It is astonishing to me that all these witnesses maintained their calm and dignity. I could not have done it. I can’t do it now🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

The judge should have said at this point: “If you are not Mr. Brooks then you cannot then identify the juror you claim made an inappropriate gesture!”

It’s unfortunate this is even possible. What is good she will never have to deal with him again.

I love the fact that she looked the beast straight in the face at one point and said "I just answered no, Mr. Brooks." If I had been a witness with him it would have all been yes or no or I don't remember.
