OK, it’s the next day, and I don’t know what’s worse, setting the tent up for getting it all of it back in the bag! But I did it. Feel like a revolver eight seconds, but I did it!

This man did a great job by not only setting it up in an efficient manner, but also explaining at times. It was good how @ times the video was fast forwarded, otherwise your audience will move to another video.

Thanks Dad. I have this same tent coming in the mail today and I'll actually be taking my children up to Georgia from Florida next month for their very first camping trip ever and while I wasn't necessarily concerned I absolutely now feel completely confident in getting this tent setup and packed back up when we are done. Thank you!!

Single mom and I’m pretty proud of myself for setting this up with my 10 year old son with Down syndrome. My almost 13 year old and my 14 year old know it all sons gave up and went in the house. I hope now they see that their mom has a lot more knowledge than they thought she did. I bought this for us to go on adventures and they both told me they hate camping. Neither have ever went because their dad hates camping. I’m hoping I won’t be camping alone after they see it up. Maybe they will change their minds? I’m sweating like crazy 😅 July probably isn’t the best time to camp in the Midwest 😂 But I am so proud of myself.

The tent in this video is a Coleman Evanston 6. I have it and just bought a new Evanston 8 because the screen porch on the 6 was nothing but a water catcher whenever it rained. The Evanston 8 has a rain fly that covers the door, which is a hinged door.

Wish i hadda known that B 4 i got da 6

The bag says 8, and even on the side of the tent, it says 8. I looked at other videos of the Evanston 8 and none have a hinged door.

You made it look easy. Some tips about this tent I recently purchased this tent and went camping in SD. It was hot and windy during the day and very cold at night. The tent didn't handle the wind well on first set up but after stretching some it did ok. The very back window does not have a zipper cover so you can only close it by adjusting the top cover. The front porch has no zippable covers so blowing rain will get in. Only half the door unzips so it can be awkward. It is spacious enough for a queen sized cot and all my stuff.

I think you're right!
@stormyboy1294 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that the porch area gets wet when it rains because it's not entirely protected by the rainfly. However, there's some kind of gutter system so that water doesn't build-up

Great video! Does the screened in porch zip at the bottom, or just Velcro?

Yes, Amy Smith. The screened in porch does zip at the bottom.

Is there a spot that you can run a cord through if you have electric available?
@darrellintents30862 жыл бұрын
I find most tents can accommodate cords at the end of the zipper. Zip up to the cord.

The screen porch turns into a pool after a rain storm...smh. should have left out the floor or used something that would allow water to pass through
