Sire has always had a unique take on classic guitar designs, but I never thought I'd see them do this one! Guitar info/link - sweetwater.sjv.io/4GGy6L Enjoy :)

great review on a radical lookin' instrument with equally rad tones, darrell. say, sweetwater doesn't tend to provide neck dimensions (thickness at 1st and 12th frets) or a detailed neck profile, and many times, does not provide nut width for various guitar models. can you expand on the neck profile a bit?
@sweetnsourchick176114 күн бұрын
Hey, Darrell! How much does the L5 weigh? It looks heavy. (Sweetwater doesn't say.)
@anthonylawson695515 күн бұрын
The tone around 5:30 is outrageous. Beyond sweet.
@lovetogun36112 күн бұрын
I came to comment just that. That neck pickup is just saying sweet lullabies to my ears.

Nice to see something other than a Gibson or Fender inspired build from Sire. If they keep up this level of quality and bang for your buck, they will be unstoppable.
@nica241115 күн бұрын
This is literally a les paul body with strat wiring 😂 i couldnt imagine something more fender/gibson inspired

There's not enough short-scale/singlecut guitars with single coils in the world. These are absolutely sick!

Not what I’d expect from Sire but I love the way this sounds and, off the top of my head, I can’t think of anyone else making something like this at present, though I could be wrong. I like it!.

I just bought a single-cut LP3-90 , one P-90 in TV yellow. I couldn't be happier. This thing is a beast. The fit and finish are impeccable. The best bang for my buck guitar I believe I've ever bought.
@Paul_Lenard_Ewing15 күн бұрын
This is a totally original guitar. It looks Retro without looking like a clone. I think as the brand moves into the future and becomes it's own thing this will be a collectors guitar. I love it!!!

After Jerry Jones passed, Danelectro breathed a sigh of relief, seems the heat is back on for a higher-quality, Dano-style guitar!!

There are dozens of chrome parts protruding over wood on this guitar. I think it's a theme.
@titichartay721615 күн бұрын
Just thinking of the entanglements & rips those screws are going to cause - revenge for buckle rash ?
@ebplentl15 күн бұрын
Countersink on wood causes the wood to split.
@gordonforbes994815 күн бұрын
@ you should always drill a pilot hole, then the wood does not split when screw goes in. If countersunk screw, obviously countersink as well as pilot hole.

Kudos to Sire for making so many lefty models. The day after I saw this guitar (I think John Cordy was demoing a nylon string Sire) on KZbin, I bought one. Playability out of the box was perfect. I've had it almost two months and I like it more and more. Middle pickup is my favourite.

I love my Danelectro Fifty Niner, but this thing looks really cool, too. I upgraded my pickups to Seymour Duncan lipsticks, which sound great, but I think the stock Dano pups and these on the Sire sound a little more authentically lipsticky. 😊

I bought one of these from Sweetwater. I'm very happy with it. Just for clarification, it did not come with a gig bag so I believe that would be an add-on.
@glenclifton456313 күн бұрын
Shouldn't be hard to counter sink the pup screws on back. Next time you change strings just remove one screw at a time, sink the hole a quarter inch, chamfer the hole, cut off the screw the same amount,replace the screw, done. You can use some tung oil or oil gun stock oil to finish if you like. Easy!!! I bet Sweetwater would do it for you if you asked, for a price. Love the sound of these lip stick pups!
