This is why I consider Darrell to be my second guitar teacher and appreciate this particular lesson, I need work on my fingerpicking.

Awesome to see the lessons coming back here man! As I have gotten my way with fingerpicking, this is still amazing and important for especially beginners! Great work!

Very nice Darrell I don't care much about learning finger picking, but I couldn't take my eyes off of that guitar. 🌝

Well done, Darrell. I never learned finger-picking, and the tabs don't help me at all. Even your word description doesn't help, but video makes a huge difference. With the guitar, I'm very much a visual and auditory learner. I'm watching your fingers and listening to the results, which make WAY more sense to me than words or notes on paper.

Thanks for helping me on my fingerpicking Darrell! Amazing video as always! Thought I’d let you know that orange wood cane out with an all solid wood line of guitars! It also comes with a hard shell case, lr bags pickup and its under $1,000

It is hard to teach an old dog a new trick, but that is a great exercise I must put on practice.

That same finger picking form is a mainstay in bluegrass picking for me. I find myself playing a 2,4 bass line with my thumb, and using the G, B, and high E strings as "drone" strings if you will. Really helps to fill in the rhythm section in a bluegrass jam session.

Hey Darrell, did you explain that French notations: P (Pouce) is thumb, i is index, m (majeur) is middle, a (annulaire) is ring. Wandering why in French when many others are Italian !? Funny enough chords for French do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si are noted C, D, E, F, G, A, B. Music is universal language.
