Who cares if this song proves that he's straight or not. Who loves him, believes what he says, so that he's strait. Just because this song is based around a woman dosent mean he is straight. He could easly play both sides. Than there is also that chance that he was straight and by playing the "strong gay character" on t.v, and the bond and all the interaction between him and chris made him more open to other things or as some say curious.

lotzofluvteddy At one point I was certain he was straight...no doubt about it. Then I started reading legitimate press about Darren being "bi". Everybody says he has Mia so he's straight. Not necessarily. It's all over the blogosphere that Chris and Darren "went there" IRL. All one has to do is watch them on Glee. Watch the eye contact just before the kisses, the emotion, the vibe... Some say they broke up because Chris hated that Darren had a "beard"* - and that's one of Chris' pet peeves about people in the Gay community...whether they are gay, bi,or whatever. Chris feels one should be true to himself and to hell with what others think. (A "beard" is what some in the gay community call a woman who appears to have a relationship with a guy but it's only for "show". The reality is that he doesn't want the world to know he's gay.) Darren has what some might call "blind ambition". Chris is laid back and fine with his writing movies and awesome books. Opposites indeed. So, as I say, only speculation on my part. I have no proof at all on what I've written. Just a gut feeling.

You guys read too much fanfiction. I have no problem with gay people, in fact Chris is my favourite character on glee. On my opinion, glee is about forgetting the stereotipes and see the personality. "A handsome guy who can sing and dance and plays a gay character, must be gay in real life" That's a stereotipe. Glee's message is to accept each other the way they are. This video was a dang long time ago. Sexuality is not always black and white. There are sometimes some other colors mixed in. I personally do not think he is gay, I think he is pansexual because he has said before that sex does not matter it is the person. And I think that is a beautiful thing. Things change. I have a friend that has been gay all his life but then he met a woman and fell in love with her and now they are married and have a beautiful baby boy. Things can always change.

I'm gonna be rude and jump in here. :D I agree with you. I don't think darren is straight. Writing "straight" songs doesn't make you straight. If he wrote a song about puppies we wouldn't assume he was in love with a dog would we? Some people read into things to much. It really makes me angry. People need to just let him live his life and when and if he comes out as gay or bi we should continue to give him love and support. This song is dang sexy though. ;)
