What I like about Belmo... two-handed with a traditional delivery... he's not all herkey-jerkey or tosses the ball 30'. I would like to see the USBC limit the balls overall for the Pros. DTang seems to start having paralyses by Bowling Ball analysis. These are the best bowlers in the world... Figure the lanes out with six Eight balls

@@TraumaER to be fair, DTang has been competing against him for some time, but it's had to at least be a cool feeling. But I'm sure when people bowl with Tang the first few times, they get that same cool feeling, cause he's definitely a top bowler.
@TraumaER Жыл бұрын
@@thisguy18x yeah definitely. I've bowled against Tim Foy Jr in a tournament earlier this month. He isn't as big on tour, but he makes any local 'pro' look like an amateur. I used to bowl in Friday night scratch tournaments after the center closed and found out a lot of ex PBA bowlers would do that for fun for the 'easy money'. They are on another level even though I avg ~210 in league.

Greatest player of all time? Sounds like you're doing some brown-nosing. If you was bowling with the greatest of all time, it would be Walter Ray Williams Jr. He has the most overall titles than anybody in history.
@anonymousmouse237 Жыл бұрын
Earl Anthony won more titles than both Belmo and WRWJ in a shorter spread and likely would have won many more if he didn't retire early. He is commonly considered the Best in the PBA. Then there's Paeng Nepomuceno of the Phillipines... Belmo's not the goat. Not yet anyway. He's got a LOT of work ahead of him.
@stonejr74 Жыл бұрын
@@anonymousmouse237 Earl Anthony is great but it's not what he could have done it's who actually has more down in the books. Earl Anthony is second behind WRWJ and belmonte is in 7th in just PBA titles. But in all bowling titles overall WRWJ has more than any bowler in history. I hate when they try calling belmonte the goat when they're still mini bowlers ahead of him and are still alive and bowling today and still winning titles. I know they're just using belmonte as marketing which is fine But they need to stop lying to people because he's not the goat and he doesn't have the most titles, he has the most of one title and that's it. And again there are several living legends still alive and still winning titles to this day that have more than belmonte.
@anonymousmouse237 Жыл бұрын
@@stonejr74 Even WRW jr. admits that winning what he did in the timeframe he did was more impressive than accumulating many titles over a long period of time. Keep in mind it took him something like twice as many events to win the same number of titles. Yeah, there's really no case at all for Belmonte being the GOAT by any metric unless he can continue his frenetic pace of title earning into his forties. He'd have to earn them fast and against a progressively stronger field while dealing with his aging body. Time is running out.

I guess I'm NOT superstitious enough: I don't wipe my shoes, blow in the thumb hole, don't slide, don't opposite foot out in front at the foul line but same foot out in front at the foul line NON-slide but STOP at the foul line: throw right hand & have my right foot at the foul line & NEVER ever wipe my ball off of the GOOD oil that is always on it. here's WHY wiping a ball off of oil has NO effect on your game: your ball is 8.5" wide or 27" all the way around your ball. oil patterns are from 37 feet to 47 feet this means your ball HAS to roll 15 times before it gets out of the short oil pattern & the more revs the more times that is in oil (so how does wiping your ball off of oil do anything for you?!) the ONLY thing wiping your ball off of oil does is create a dry front end of the lane & NO bowler wants that. once the ball rolls once your ball has oil all the way around your ball & it has to roll at least 15 times in the short oil pattern so by the time your ball gets out of the short oil pattern it is coated 15 times by then end of the short oil pattern. (so how does wiping a ball off of oil help your score?) that's 15 times on a ball that's just barley rolling NOT revving at all. any revs makes it roll even more times in the oil! not just that but your ball will always create back end oiled lanes. that's farther then they were oiled at first. I've tried wiping the ball off & it did ZERO for me! all that does is take oil from the front part of the lane NOT the back end at all. no bowler wants a dry front end of the lane! another GREAT lessen from THE Brooklyn Crusher!!

Hey Darren, you are a great player but need to define who the greatest player is. Belmo is an awesome bowler, the GOAT when it comes to major titles. BUT Walter Ray Jr. has more PBA titles and has won the most PBA money. Belmo and him are tied for the most Player of the Year awards. So when defining the greatest, I'd have to go with WRW because I look at the record overall in all categories.
