I got that hand issue often after switching to two hands. What took it away immediately was a small piece of that storm KT tape starting from the back of the hand below the knuckles straight down to just below the wrist. And I added one just around the base of the wrist as well. Haven’t had that issue since. My conclusion was it was just the movement of the tendons in the hand over the bones in the hand making a “popping” or “plucking” sensation.

I see the same thing. One handed head is on same plane, and eyes seem to be down lane. Two handed, eyes seem to look down almost immediately taking his head with them then whips up with delivery. Maybe this is by design?? Also take care of your arm Darren!

I wear a wrist bracelet with a magnet in it. It has helped with my wrist sometimes popping as I am double jointed. It also has helped with soreness too. It's by Genesis I bought on bowlers mart.

I'm having same issue with my left hand and I bowl left handed so I found a good chiropractor that explained that your things from your back to your shoulders to your neck can effect your blood flow to your hands and arm wrist all that so you should check it out

I'm always so curious about Lance's specs. No matter what ball he throws, it always looks like 80% of the time, it never drives through the 5 pin, it's always bouncing off the headpin. Wonder what his Tilt is and the layout he's using, and if there's a better method to getting his ball to go through all 3 motions on a more consistent basis.

In my opinion, there’s probably not a whole lot he can do with that rev rate, especially with these guys bowling a second shift league typically the fronts are already going to be chewed up a little bit. The only thing he could try to do in my opinion is throw something super shiny but with his tilt, rev etc.. the ball probably just won’t see the friction anyways. I could be completely wrong but figured I’d say something

Another thing would just be slowing ball speed down to give the ball some time to hook, his ball either never sees the friction or hooks too early and has nothing in the backend

@@j-rodkri I believe he is a high tilt bowler, of 20 degrees or more, and his ball isn't bleeding tilt properly. Low drill angles, high val angles, long pin to pap, and probably symmetric equipment to bleed tilt the quickest. But hard to identify that without knowing (or even seeing) all the information.

When you see that on this video, it’s not the layout, it’s his speed. When the ball ricochets off the head pin, and deflects past the five, his speed is fast and he’s catching a light hit.

@@JoshFiver speed is just part of the layout. Getting the ball to slow down, and go through the skid, hook, and roll phases, is the goal. Obviously part of that is surface and conditions, but it's also layout.

Darren... when your hand pops... what does it feel like? I had something like that back in the 90s when I bowled for the University of Cincinnati. It would feel almost like a little electrical shock when it would pop and I would lose control of the ball. I went to a sports medicine doctor. They diagnosed me with distal radioulnar subluxation. Its brought on by the pressure of the bowling ball putting too much stress on your tendons holding your radius and ulna together. Symptoms include; Wrist pain, Inflammation, Weakness, Reduced range of motion, Pain when supinating or pronating, A clicking pain, and finally Dropping objects while holding them tightly (like a bowling ball). The only thing that worked for me was to take some time off from bowling - unfortunately. You can also try a wrist brace (compression - not the one that fixates your wrist in a certain position) to try to help those tendons keep your bones together. I believe Storm used to make one too. I still have mine and use it weekly in leagues now. Hope this helps!!

@@toucisam two handed the tendons are in a bind due to the more radical elbow bend combined with the cupped wrist. One handed with much straighter arm/wrist is not binding up the tendons to such a degree.
