It‘s crazy to me that Justin was only 19 when he dropped this. His management and label didnt support him during this process because they didnt want him to do r&b, but he did this album nevertheless and just dropped it without any promotion. He was doing a world tour at that time, overworked, doing drugs due to his anxiety and high pressure from the industry, so in a very very bad place mentally but he turned it into Journals and I will always thank him for this album. Its my favorite album ever. Words can‘t describe how much it means to me

Crazy part is this wasn’t supposed to be an album. He was just dropping singles every Monday, it caught so much traction they had to put something together which is why some songs don’t mesh well. 1-6 was a generational run
