DMC is just overall a good dude. I had some contact with him on twitter a few years ago, we talked about the time when I saw them live back in 98, he still remembered me, the kid they pulled on stage in 98 who almost got crushed by the crowd, refusing to give up my spot front center.

I remember when he lost his voice and he couldn't rap like used to, his voice was raspy and he seemed to struggle and strain when he spoke. I believe he had spasmodic dysphonia or laryngeal dystonia. He's been through it ya'll. Elated he's overcome those obstacles and still with us.
