This is fascinating, considering there's no venting or holes on the tips. I wonder what the impact is like at high velocity? There's a lot of science to be done. I just got a box, so I guess the boys and I have some research to do over the holidays!

Interesting to hear the positives of the full length Nitroshots. I've mostly heard from higher end players that are running high crush set ups and they don't like them. It's nice to see good results with springers and basic flywheelers.
@Foamtastic-oc9fuАй бұрын
I’ve addressed this with two others here, and it’s frustrating because I use these in my custom 38mm cage with Worker Smooths, and they perform exceptionally well. I believe the issue is specifically related to serrated flywheels, particularly metal ones.
@notnuffnerfАй бұрын

It’s the hard plastic ring behind the head that causes some issues on high crush.

Caveat for the nitroshots: Do NOT use them with metal flywheels. They just jam and instantly shred.
@Foamtastic-oc9fuАй бұрын
I don’t think it has anything to do with the flywheels being metal. I think it’s the serrations that come on 95% of all metal flywheels. I’m running 38mm crush with Worker Smooths and they shoot like butter.
@pbDEMONАй бұрын
@@Foamtastic-oc9fu If by serrations, you mean knurling, then yes, that would be the issue. However, I can say I don't have this problem with any other darts in the exact same blaster/flywheels.
@notnuffnerfАй бұрын
@@Foamtastic-oc9fu You make an excellent point, and while I can’t personally confirm it, as I’ve only ever used Worker smooth wheels in my mods, the theory does make sense. The teeth would likely grip onto the non-flexible discs, potentially leading to issues.

Super bummed you didn’t include AF waffles. Would have been nice to see if the nitro darts are better or not. Waffles for the win still I suppose!
@Foamtastic-oc9fuАй бұрын
In the video, he explained why he chose not to review them. Personally, I’ve had better results with the Chili darts because their slightly smaller heads make them more compatible with pro-level blasters. That said, regular Waffle darts perform well with standard blasters.
@RyanBlazeАй бұрын
@ I’ve found that waffle darts work better than chilis with my modded flywheel blasters. Wish he would have included them for sure

@notnuffnerf, I was one waiting you to end that dart review video. 😂 Dart Zone, congratulations! You like Worker are proving to Hasbro. A new type of ammo is a waste of time when there is a "standard" ammo showing it can be optimized and improve.

Excellent info. I picked up a few containers of Gameface pro short darts on clearance and tried them in some games on the weekend, and they were not as bad as I thought they'd be. With a SCAR though, they were much better. The OG Nexus pro didn't like them very much 😂.

I think you may have seen a little different results without the pcar. Wide tips like on most full lengths don’t mix well with rifling. Especially on the nitro shot with the plastic ring behind the dart head. The fps would prob be a lot better on all of the darts but the chilis, as their head is ever so slightly smaller than the dart body; which is why their fps wasn’t impacted as much by the pcar.
@grantponciano9386Ай бұрын
Need a half dart version of this video please!
@TeabagDeluxeАй бұрын
Your testing duplicated my results with the X Shot darts. Those are terrible and tend to whirlybird at above 120-130 fps, and surprisingly have lower fps results in flywheelers despite looking like a waffle-style/broad head dart. Still better than Elites though
@pickboy77Ай бұрын
The heads on Xshot don’t work as well I flywheelers because of how soft and squishy they are. The flywheels don’t grab them as tightly. Like you said though, way better than awful elites!

Nitroshot full length and nitroshot+ half lengths are different. The nitroshot full lengths are horrible on high crush flywheels, the orange plastic disc behind the head gets bent and jams the dart into the barrel. Its good for the age range and blasters its intended for, 8+ year olds and associated blasters but not competitive blasters. Botsnblasters had it on his podcast, someone tested fps and it didnt do well. But its perfect for kid events and hvz, and the softer head hits less hard than other full lengths, as intended i suspect.
@Foamtastic-oc9fuАй бұрын
As I mentioned to someone earlier, I don’t believe this issue has anything to do with the darts, metal flywheels, or even the “disk” component. I’m running a 2mm higher crush than NNN at 38mm with Worker Smooths, and they perform flawlessly. I suspect the real issue lies with the serrations found on 95% of all metal flywheels. Additionally, did you watch the video? He was shooting the Nitro darts with respectable FPS on 2S, and there didn’t appear to be any jamming. It’s always surprising how quickly a setup failure can lead some individuals to generalize that “the darts are bad.” The problem isn’t with the darts but with setups that lack the versatility to handle multiple types of ammo effectively. A well-optimized setup makes all the difference.
