I think they should have taken some inspiration from Gradius' power-up system to give the player more choice. Maybe also give you a meter that tells you how long a form will last. Also, they should've brought back the mechanic from Darwin 4078 where you upgrade your bombs by attaching enemies to the front of your ship. There doesn't seem to be any way to upgrade your bombs in this version, which is a shame... Still though, I think this is the best game in the series!
