I always thought 'Spanish Eyes' was sung perfectly from Al Martino and "belonged" to him.... but if you listen to Engelbert you get chills and goosebumps and know he performs it 1000 times better. I live in Cape Coral, Florida and Engelbert would come quite often to perform however, the last time (quite some years ago) we had tickets to see him however, he caught a cold and they postponed the concert but unfortunately they had to cancel it because he was feeling so poorly. So I never got to see him again and I feel so sad for him for the loss of his wife t Covid 19. He had such a beautiful voice and it was always exciting to get the chance to see him. I do have lots of his CD’s and if I want to hear him I can.
