They didn't get a lot of credit because they were like by People of Color. Unlike Elvis, the " All that Black people can do is buy my records," wasn't falsely put out. Some People of Color actually believed that lie, but Elvis already had his fan base.

I absolutely love the unmistakable sound of the Hammond B3 organ part on this song. It's a fantastic instrument that adds so much color, depth, and emotion to almost any song. Add in the twang of a Fender Telecaster and it makes a great song.

Its actually a Hammond C3 circa 1950's. I'm still an electronic engineer for tonewheels and valve leslies, based in the UK. The mixing engineer has rolled off the bass of the lower part of the manual he playing
My father loved this song. He was italian, but very passionate of american soul music. Good voice, good organ sound.

Yeah. You're right. I love the song. At first, I thought, it is the newest version sang by a somewhat contestant in a '... Idol' contest. I always wait for that radio station to play this. Until today that I learned the fsct that it is a 1990's version. But sadly, it is not available for download.

I grew up with these exceptionally talented artists and accomplished musicians ... sad to me personally that as we all grow into senior citizens...here as we approach the 4th quarter of life's season...they have legal conflict within a great partnership. I hope they are able to resolve the issues.
