Make the Mouse Wheel Zoom in Inkscape 1.0+

Thank you, I had to make sure vertical pan also had ctrl or removing ctrl on canvas zoom didnt work.

Thank you for the reply That is very good info! The Vertical Pan setting needs to have CTRL enabled as well. When I made the video I did a fresh install of Inkscape 1.4, and deleted my preferences.xml file to simulate a first time user, but I suspect some of my settings remained so I missed documenting that step. If other users confirm that the default, first time ever installed, Inkscape does not have the Vertical Pan CTRL setting enabled, and this video is missing a critical step, Please let me know. I will make a new video to cover ALL the steps. Thank you!

@@MakerMinded I had the same. Unmodified Mouse Wheel was Vertical Pan, Control + Mouse wheel was Zoom. I have now changed this so I have Unmodified Mouse Wheel = Zoom Control + Mouse wheel = Vertical Pan Shift + Control + Mouse wheel = Horizontal Pan Which makes more sense to me since I want to Zoom more often than Pan and having the two pans linked to control seems right to my brain.

Thank you for the confirmation! Zoom with the mouse wheel, without modifiers is (IMHO) the only way to scroll. 😁
