Who ever was a teenager in the golden age of hip hop, watched rap city, as well as yo mtv raps, red source magazine when 5 mics really had creditability & truly meant something & didn't just listen to gangsta rap, you knew at that time, everyone in hip hop was saying that Das Efx created a new style & after their 1st record hit, so many new rappers, as well as older rappers started ripping their style, this is forgotten because hip hop media have no loyalty to the innovative hip hop artist as well as new fans don't take the time to learn or support their hip hop history & that's the truth.

Don't forget about grown men and teens wearing pacifiers around their neck (thank God that was short-lived!), Cross Colors, or those jackets with Disney cartoons, or other cartoon characters on them. Dude in my "global studies" class had a Little Mermaid jacket! I don't know if this was just a Chicago/Midwest thing, or if this was on the East and/or West Coast, as well. This would have been 1991-92, which was my freshman year of high school.
