What is that rumbling noise on rotation at 2:04? It sounds like a Harley pulling up.

Sounds like an un-balanced nose wheel spinning down
@mikehunter14832 жыл бұрын
That was the nose gear. It’s not necessarily out of balance, it probably has a few flat spots on it so when it free spins, it shakes the landing gear assembly until the wheels hit the snubbers inside the wheel well. Tbh, this is a tell tell sign the wheels need to be swapped out. But this airline is probably low cost so they squeeze as much life out of those tires as they can. And I don’t blame them. Aircraft tires are EXPENSIVE. And they don’t last long as you can imagine. And it’s worse on smaller commuter aircraft because they go through more takeoffs and landings than say a United 777-300ER does. The 777 might do one good flight within a 24 hour period. This Q400 does probably 6 flights a day.

Can the pilot flying even see over the dashboard?

Lol they’re flying IFR she doesn’t need to! All jokes aside, she probably can it’s just the angle of the camera.

whats this sound at 00:17? heard it also on my flight.
@maxmaxmaxmaxmaxmaxmaxmaxmax13 жыл бұрын
When the propeller blades are put in DISC, the blades go flat against the airflow causing that sound. It's a (basically) zero-thrust position for the engines.
