Dash and radio stay on with key turned off… please help!

I think the RAP comes from the bcm. What I would do, as it looks like you’ve done a lot, is find the signal wire running from the pass door and put a simple door jam switch somewhere on the side of the dash that the door would push in when closed..that way it won’t matter, the truck would always think someone opened the passenger door essentially, but the headaches would be solved. Having swapped so many things here there and everywhere I can understand is something wasn’t jiving with the bcm..

Yeah it's a trip. I took my 02 door and hard wired the power windows and lock into my fuse box. And my radio and dash lights stayed one for the 10 minutes everytime I shut the truck off. So I went back looked a the original base model truck doors and the wire that was in a different location was the grey with black line wire. So I cut it at the door jam to test it. The way I did was right when I turned key off I touched the grey with black line wire back together and it shut every off like normal. I was almost like I needed to wire a door pin to that wire like the Old days

That "chime" you miss is dependent on a few things with these trucks and 3 versions were commonly used. The first and 2nd was at the BCM directly and could be an external or internal speaker. The 3rd chime is tied into the radio system itself and a lot of people including myself don't use it because its so obnoxiously loud.

99-02 latches and the harness is different. I did power door swaps on my 04 but the door were 02. It's the grey wire with the black wire the needs to become a circuit once door is open. The way I know is cut the wire and touch it back together and every shuts off

All the trucks I have are from 03-up, the harnesses match

What ya have there is a " Frankenclade " so, you might have problems . What ya don't want to do is come at it with torches and pitch forks. That will just make 'em mad.

Ur luck seems to be about like mine, it's always the weird things that go wrong and every Gm expert says check the ground, oh ur engine is smoking, check the ground, lol. I hope you get it figured out bro,

What weird thing is if you change the under dash harness the location where it plugs in under the dash its used for something different than the base model truck
