A good test is trying to read number plates of passing cars in poor lighting - a test that many cameras fail (blurry or insufficient detail). All these cameras also suffer from same problem of that a thief stealing the camera steals the memory card/footage (unless connected to a cloud account). My 4K BlackVue (DR970x Box-2Ch Plus) uses a Sony Starvis 2 sensor (one of the best currently available) and the box of electronics (and memory card) is hidden in the vehicle - also means the cameras can be much smaller and don’t get as hot (which can ‘cook’ memory cards in some other makes). Also a brilliant app and all bings/bongs can easily be muted. Only downside of BlackVue is price, But you get what you pay for. No, I don’t work for them!!😂
