Blood of the Virgin is my favorite GN of 2023. A decision made easier since Noah didn’t release a GN in 2023.

I really like Dash Shaw's comics but i find his attitude baffling and irritating when talking with peers. See also his conversation with Mazzuchelli in TCJ. It's the moment where Harkham asks him if he has read Time's Arrow and he just whines: "I don't want to" that really annoys me, among other uppity and silly interventions. Love Blood of the Virgin, and there's some great stuff here.
