Jim Carrey is the MASTER of facial expressions, but Renee Zellwegger is underrated in this. For someone who almost always does romantic movies, her comedic timing is excellent. She's very good at playing someone who is fascinated/repulsed by the sheer weirdness of Hank while also respecting Charlie - that's quite a balancing act.

The peeing scene thing was sort of like.. when a guy has sex some foreign substances can get into the urethra and cause urine to come out at a weird angle because of the slight blockage. Like putting your finger over half of a hoses end the water will come out weird

22:18 I love explaining why this happens lol. Just remember YOU asked lol. When men ejaculate and we don't urinate directly after, semen gets trapped in our urethra. Then slowly seeps out over the night, and eventually dries, partially closing our Urethra shut. When we go pee in the morning, urine sprays out in multiple streams. It's kinda like when you putting your thumb in front of a garden hose 🤣

What is the Lime for? It's for covering up the smell when you hide a body so dogs won't find it. He could just dig the hole deep enough and he wouldn't even need the Lime, but most people underestimate the digging.

You can also use lye. Sometimes im confused as to which they are talking about. Lye is closer to hydraflouric asid no? It can dissolve the entire body into goop a lot faster than the powdered lime?! No? If so, you still gotta figure out how much baking soda to get so u can safely flush the whole body down the toilet. 😮😂😂

The fluids involved in sex are sticky. They can cause the piping to be partially blocked, making for an awkward trip to the restroom if you're not careful.

There were apparently cameos by a few athletes, but I forget if it was part of the movie or not. They were by hockey players Brendan Shanahan and Cam Neely (the latter who was previously in Dumb & Dumber with Carrey), along with tennis player Anna Kournikova.

There was a Disney nature film released in 1967 called Charlie, The Lonesome Cougar, narrated by Rex Allen. The narrator of Me, Myself, & Irene was Rex Allen, Jr. Yes, his father was the same Rex Allen. And he did the narration of the movie in the same voice his father used. This is a reference that will go over a LOT of peoples' heads today, but those of us who were the target audience when the movie originally came out had a strong likelihood of seeing Charlie as a rerun on the Disney Channel growing up. At the time the movie came out, Traylor Howard (Layla) was best known for starring in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl (or Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place, depending on the season). TGaaG is noteworthy as one of Ryan Reynolds first big leading roles. I don't know if I'd really call it a DARK comedy. But it definitely pushes some lines. Lime has a variety of uses in construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. However, more relevant to the movie, in the right conditions it can dissolve a body in a matter of hours. Jim Carrey is so often underrated as an actor. The sons were probably the best part of the movie. "She'll never be bored because she's literally dating two men." Oh, Dasha, lol. Technically what Hank did would qualify as rape.

There was a time when Jim Carrey got a series of stellar movies in a row. This was one of them. Another one I'd highly recommend, in a (sorta) similar style, is Man On The Moon. It's a biography about the comedian Andy Kaufman. Andy was such a unique entertainer in his own right. I'd suggest this as part of a double feature, with Andy meet Jim. This is a movie length behind-the-scenes documentary on how Jim Carrey went full method acting, and how he became one of his childhood heroes. It gave me a whole new appreciation for Jim Carrey as a VERY versatile actor.

The peeing scene: Sometimes when a guy climaxes from an intimate encounter, some of the climax remains in the tube, so to speak. It ends up blocking the flow and the flow can come out crooked. Hopefully that makes sense to you without being too vulgar.

The peeing problem wasn't due to him having morning wood after sex, it has to do with the exchange of bodily fluids and after they dry things can get clogged if you haven't cleaned up afterward.

After sex the eye of the monster can sometimes stick partially closed causing a multi directional stream when trying to urinate. Kinda like using your thumb to try and stop a running garden hose. It's a guy thing.
