He would be nice to add to the room,including JMbakwe,Mincey,+Brown,who will ALL be on the field this season in some capacity. We will have 2 seasons Of Deshawn Jones,who has lined up against some dynamic WRs and terrific QBs in the ACC.Some of this young Secondary talent will undoubtedly move inside to play #2's and #3's inside,or end up as 1-High Safeties. Eventually. To truly understand the 4-2-5 and how THE TIDE will employ it,is you HAVE to understand the importance(And it has become the most important positions on this defense-and MOST defenses at both the college and Professional levels)of the Husky and the Strong Safety. The critical importance of Inside/Slot defenders...They are NOW twin brothers and interchangeable,unlike under CNS when it was the FS and SS being united as one. Where the Field and Boundary Corners will be in PREDOMINANTLY playing Cover-1 and Cover-3,and be responsible either in Man or 1/3 of the field area coverage,for #1's outside(Or Deep overs from the other side of the formation as an example)? The Slot defenders in our defense(The Husky...The SS....Sometimes even the Wolf) will be responsible to: *Be able to set the edge and be physical and sure tacklers on the Edge.... *Be able to drop into zone and be Flat defenders.. *Be able to line up in man against inverted #1's(Who become inside WRs,which is huge these days-Just think how Jeudy,Smith,Ruggs,and Waddle were able to play,along with Jamo/Metchie who could line up inside/outside...And SO many MORE.including our guys this year which CJS will fully demand.... *Be able to line up and be able to defend In-Line TE's,Winged TE's, or Split/hybrid guys like a Brock Bowers. *Be able to defend RBs in the pass game up the field,on the perimeter,and opposite side crossers like Michigan ran..... A HUGE position(s)....I believe Sabb will do a good job at SS....You can tell the Coaches really like the versatility of Morgan at Husky,even though he is a LITTLE bit small as of now..Maybe Smith can stay healthy. Maybe Kam Howard can be that guy.Like I said I will never be surprised where Mbak,Zay,or Brown line up. Or for that matter Dre Jr either.He is a football player.

Starting secondary FS/SS Keon Sabb/Moore ….rover Devonte Smith (King Mack)… CBs Domani & Brown/Hurley. Nickel CB Mwakabe or Jones. I agree with coach and have gone back ‘n forth with Smith and Moore’s jobs (while playing NCAA 07 lol) With Moore and Smith injury prone, it rlly depends on how good the 2 transfer safeties are. I could see King Mack fully take the rover spot but whether or not he’ll be rdy is another question.
