DashCam Test & Total Teardown (including car charger)

Testing a cheap Chinese dash cam and then taking it totally to bits. I also opened its car charger and reverse engineered its schematic.

@@BenjaminEsposti probably already do it, but no vídeo of it. lol i am going to try to open mine, in order tocan move more degrees the lens part, because mine is a mirrror with lcd on it. the quality is like those, but for 10 EUROS is just fine. the mirror quality is super lol

When I see these cams with similar menus it makes me think these are all the same cam circuits/hardware in different housings. I have see someone refocuss these cheap cams on the screw to make the picture much clearer. -They might also have removed the filter, but I can't remember.

Looks like a standard cheap lens module, doubt it's designed to be wide-angle.

Yup, they're used in cheap webcams from ebay or the pound shop (they didn't last long in there)

It does seem that every dashcam has more options than abilitys, i suspect there is an identical model with a better camera, the processor is likely to have multi camera types programmed in. A cheaper way to make different versions perhaps? LOL a filter in the camera, they just bought the cheapest without looking. The charger chip reminded me of the mc34063 but with added internal fet, i would rather have a transistor on the outside with a heatsink.

The chip in the charger could also contain a PNP transistor, so its emitter is connected to the positive!

no. Is just to not initialize another vídeo, for a second or twoo when you turn off the engine. , because in europe the key has twoo points, with a disconect between them, that activate the energy before disconect at last .
