If you see a semi at a round about...just get behind it, or you will be crushed,and it will be your fault. Public service announcement. Some signs are starting to go up .....we typically need both lanes at the intersection in order to get around it,so if you are one of those people that try to go around the semi at the roundabout...you will find yourself out of road at the precise moment you thought you were about to pass. Getting on the highway next to a semi? Smash the gas or get behind, you will find yourself out of ramp there too. Changed lanes and got the trucks horn or lights? Its because you changed lanes too soon and are risking your life and property for a few seconds of forward progress.....look at the truck, pass the truck and change lanes with a minimum of the entire length of that truck...yeah,we drive for you all the time and you never give the proper amount of space...but now we all got camera systems so its your fault and we can prove it😂
@nomaderic4 ай бұрын

Accident shown in Clip #1 was undoubtedly caused (partially) by a particular issue that's cropped up with newer vehicles - that being VERY THICK windshield pillars. You can 'lose' an entire vehicle that is 'hiding behind' the pillar, when you are attempting a turn at a smaller intersection. I've had to adopt a different way of negotiating turns like this - you have to lean your head and upper body side-to-side, in order to see what's behind the pillar. Might be a car, might be a pedestrian or bicyclist.

2:09 I use that exit all the time. The roads in that area were designed for about 1/4 of the volume of cars that actually use them. These combo on/off ramps are terrible. The lane on the left (which you are merging onto) is full-speed traffic, SOME of which is merging into your lane to exit. So you have to merge with full-speed traffic that’s staying on the freeway behind you, watch for traffic sharing your lane to exit, and traffic stopped the length of the off-ramp if the surface street above (8th in Bellevue) is backed up. Obviously the guy had some fault but those other cars stopping there were spectacularly stupid.

I've lived and worked all over the country. My job at TXDOT for the last 5 years takes me all over Central to South Texas, but even in the demolition derby that is the daily Austin commute, Washington state drivers would still manage to stand out for their complete clueless about how driving and traffic are supposed to work. Even Portland drivers know how to merge. Here's 55 in a 65 salute to Kings (and Queens) of the left lane, the special-est of the special--the Washington State Drivers. You brighten all of our days, wherever we might be, because you help us realize no matter how much of a gaggle-fuck the highways are in our home states, there's always one state that's infinitely worse. Washington, you shine like a blinker left on for 5 miles after the lane change, like the high beams left left on obliviously, no matter how many drivers in the opposing lanes flip you off, like the flashing reds and blues of your overworked State Troopers. We salute you.

The fact that driver #52 called some hail a blizzard. 😂 In their defense they did say they didn’t know what a blizzard is. lol

Calling foul on #26 at 11:07. First roundabout was perfectly executed by the red car. The driver with the cam better never drive anywhere in Europe if he thinks that's not knowing how a roundabout works.

Video #20, there's a reason we don't cross the yellow line when getting ready to get into a turn lane. You merge over when there is a white line break. Plus how fast they were going. I put all blame on the vehicle on the left.
@seattlescofflaws10 ай бұрын
29:00 the yellow rectangular sticker looks like one of the “new driver” stickers people voluntarily put on vehicles. Probably a new driver which is why the passenger didn’t know why they honked or maybe they wondered why a driver would honk at someone who is inexperienced. As we’ve seen, experienced drivers have trouble with roundabouts. I try to give grace to everyone especially new drivers- we were all new once. But people also need to learn from mistakes. It’s really important to be fully engaged and aware of what is going on around you so that you anticipate and react. It seems these days this is the exception and not the rule.
@dherzog0210 ай бұрын
Yes, that is exactly what that sticker is. Since there is no audio, I'm wondering what kind of honk it was.

I pass by the freeway entrance from the gig harbor clip all the time. IT IS TERRIFYING! It’s maybe 200 feet of a “merge” than boom you’re in normal 70 mile an hour traffic. I’m surprised more accidents don’t happen there.

I got my AZDOME Camara after being pulled over by deputies in Kitsap county that said I had a cell phone in my hand. 3 camaras 1 faces in, 1 face out back, and the one to front. I love it have so much footage! I recommend everyone have one if you have nothing to hide.

13:08 I used to clean rental cars for Hertz. Every now and then, we had a moderately-dented car come in, and I even saw a few totaled cars off to the side. Even if you rent a car, be careful. Just because it's not your car doesn't mean you won't get repercussions.

For the life of me I can't figure out why people have so many problems using roundabouts. They are very easy to understand, yield signs aren't rocket science, but I guess you can't fix stupid.
@sharazondasmith66549 ай бұрын
We don’t have a plethora of roundabouts in Washington. It’s not even on the drivers test.
